Past research topics have varied extensively, from examining literature about the German Democratic Republic to investigating how language and national identity shape Catalan unity.

You'll select three specialized courses from offerings in the Department of Languages and Cultures and other departments in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Instruction occurs primarily in English through small-group sessions. Academic advisors will guide you in selecting courses that best support your dissertation preparation. For your thesis project, you'll receive personalized guidance through one-on-one supervision meetings.
