This Law program is delivered by internationally renowned, research-focused academics from our Law School.

The curriculum covers specialized legal subjects while exploring how legislation influences society. Practical training forms the core of this program, with all three years incorporating hands-on legal experience to develop professional competencies. The program employs a problem-solving methodology, focusing on actual cases and client consultations. Students will apply diverse professional and academic skills to offer legal guidance.

Participants can gain experience in the Law School's Legal Clinic, offering pro bono services to local residents. Under the supervision of practicing attorneys, students will deliver proper legal counsel. Enrollment in either a Law Clinic or Legal Advice module is required each academic year.

Instruction comes from faculty actively involved in research that shapes policy and public discourse on legal and criminological matters. Our institution ranks 6th nationally for research influence, with 88% of our research impact judged as exceptional in the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF2021).

Professional networking

We maintain robust connections with barristers' chambers, legal practices, and related professions nationwide, including prestigious London firms. Regular alumni events, guest lectures, and an annual Law Fair provide opportunities to interact with legal professionals (including trainees, associates, and partners) and recruitment personnel. These initiatives facilitate valuable connections, firm insights, and career advancement in the legal field.
