Mathematics serves as the fundamental basis for all scientific and technological fields, making it a vast and demanding subject. Our program captures this essence by providing thorough, in-depth learning supported by outstanding instruction and growth prospects.

While challenging to define briefly, mathematics fundamentally explores change, patterns, quantities, structures, and space. This stimulating program, combined with our distinguished research reputation, ensures you'll benefit from top-tier education led by pioneering academics. Over three years, you'll cultivate subject-specific abilities and acquire specialized expertise to equip you for your desired profession.

In your initial year, you'll expand upon your existing grasp of mathematical techniques and principles. Coursework spans diverse areas including calculus, probability, statistics, logic, proofs, and theorems. Alongside strengthening your technical understanding and mathematical capabilities, you'll also refine your data interpretation, analytical thinking, and quantitative reasoning skills.

The second year deepens your proficiency in analysis, algebra, probability, and statistics. You'll also encounter Computational Mathematics, investigating computational theory and practical numerical problem-solving approaches. While mastering these subjects, you'll undertake our Project Skills module, offering opportunities to sharpen research and career competencies through individual and collaborative projects. Furthermore, you'll develop scientific writing experience and gain hands-on practice with statistical tools like R and LaTeX.
