Biochemistry explores the composition and processes of living systems at a molecular scale. This dynamic and fast-evolving discipline serves as the fundamental investigative science in biology and medicine. Our three-year biochemistry program combines essential coursework in biochemistry and chemistry with complementary studies in related areas. Students can select a specialized track focusing either on core biochemistry or with concentrations in genetics or biomedicine. The initial year features foundational modules that offer comprehensive introductions to biological and chemical principles while establishing core biochemical frameworks. Three supplementary modules in your selected track will maintain your focus on biochemistry and chemistry or allow specialization in genetics or biomedicine. The program offers ongoing flexibility, permitting students to continue their chosen path or switch between the general biochemistry track and specialized genetics or biomedicine options. Second-year studies concentrate on advanced biochemistry topics alongside hands-on laboratory modules that develop the practical skills and expertise essential for professional biochemists.
