Lancaster's combined Spanish Studies and Mathematics program is delivered through collaboration between the Department of Languages and Cultures and the Mathematics and Statistics Department.
The Spanish Studies component enables you to develop advanced language proficiency while exploring the Spanish-speaking world within a global framework. In Mathematics, you'll delve into comprehensive mathematical principles with options to focus on pure mathematics or statistical analysis.
During your first year, you'll examine Spanish language and culture alongside fundamental mathematics courses, while also pursuing an optional minor subject.
In your second year, you'll enhance your language abilities while deepening your understanding of Spanish-speaking societies through cultural, political, and historical studies. These are complemented by internationally-focused modules that encourage comparative perspectives on Europe and other regions, all while continuing your mathematical studies.
