Lancaster's Politics and Sociology program is delivered by faculty members from the Politics, Philosophy, Religion, and Sociology departments. You'll gain comprehensive knowledge of how political concepts and structures influence societal organization, while connecting your social and cultural interests to contemporary political developments and global issues.
During your first year, you'll study core modules including Politics in the Modern World and The Sociological Imagination. In subsequent years, you can select from diverse options like Middle East Politics and History, International Relations, Security and Sustainability, Development Politics and Global Transformations, Fundamental Economic Principles, and Current Topics in Political Philosophy.
