Lancaster's Politics and Sociology program is delivered by faculty members from the Politics, Philosophy, Religion, and Sociology departments. You'll gain comprehensive knowledge of how political concepts and structures influence societal organization, while connecting your social and cultural interests to contemporary political developments and global issues.
The first year includes foundational courses in Politics in the Modern World and The Sociological Imagination. During subsequent years, students can select from diverse electives including Middle East Politics and History, International Relations, Security Studies, Development Politics, Global Transformations, Economic Principles, and Current Political Philosophy.
