This interdisciplinary course involves collaboration between the History Department and the English and Creative Writing Department. You'll choose modules exploring historical developments from 300 to 1700 CE, alongside related cultural, linguistic, literary, and political aspects - spanning Celtic Britain through Renaissance Europe.
The foundational History course in your first year broadens your historical understanding while examining key events and concepts from antiquity to modernity. You'll learn historical research methods, interpretive approaches, and develop essential skills in academic writing, research, and presentation.
