Your first year introduces foundational courses in both Linguistics and Philosophy. During subsequent years, you'll examine subjects like Global Language Structures, Phonetics Across Cultures, Cognitive Language Studies, and Advanced Phonological Theory. The philosophy curriculum offers diverse options including European Philosophical Traditions, Analytical Reasoning, Philosophy of Art, and Ethics. You'll further specialize in linguistics with electives such as Psychology of Language, Sociolinguistic Identity Studies, and Language, Thought and Society.
An optional dissertation allows you to investigate a specialized topic under the guidance of faculty experts from our departments.
