Lancaster's Fine Art and Theatre degree, delivered by the Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA), allows you to explore artistic practice while engaging with modern theatrical performance.
Your Fine Art curriculum enables deep integration of practical art creation with art history and theory. Required Subjects A level Art and Design or one other humanities subject considered desirable but not essential
IELTS 6.5 overall with at least 5.5 in each component. TOEFL IBT - 87 overall, minimum of 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 17 in speaking and 20 in writing. Cambridge English: Advanced CAE 176 overall with at least 162 in each element.
Portfolio Applicants will be required to submit a portfolio before being made an offer. The department will contact applicants to request the portfolio. The portfolio should include imaginative, expressive and analytical work as well as objective drawing.

BTEC Distinction, Distinction, Merit
Foundation Courses Art Foundation Courses are not an essential requirement for this degree. Please not Foundation Courses are considered but not accepted in lieu of our academic entry requirements. Level 3 Art Foundation courses are considered on a case-by-case basis alongside two A levels at grade B or above.
