This program serves as an excellent introduction to a career in pharmacy. It explores the scientific principles involved in creating, distributing, and tracking medications. You'll learn about legal regulations, ethical considerations, and practical applications across various settings including hospitals, community pharmacies, general practices, care facilities, and pharmaceutical companies.
Collaborating with fellow aspiring healthcare providers, you'll interact with patients regarding their health issues and prescribed treatments. Using real-world scenarios, you'll discover how chemical, pharmacological, and pharmaceutical concepts influence patient care. During your final year, you'll undertake a research project with expert guidance.
The curriculum is currently undergoing revisions to align with the General Pharmaceutical Council's updated requirements for pharmacist education, preparing graduates to prescribe medications immediately upon licensure.
