This highly customized course is tailored to assist artists exploring photography as a multifaceted, interdisciplinary practice (encompassing both analog and digital techniques, new media technologies, still and moving images, installations, performance photography, and archival engagements).
Focusing on current societal priorities and community-oriented approaches, the program provides adaptable skills in image creation and editing while fostering idea communication and development.
The curriculum promotes autonomous exploration across diverse practices and theoretical frameworks, examining photography's technological, political, ecological, and societal impacts.

Qualification Requirements
The course is aimed at a range of photography practitioners. Students are admitted through formal university application and interview (with a portfolio of work). You will also be required to submit a personal statement and an indicative project proposal about how you intend to use the 17-month course to develop a significant body of photographic work. We would also like you to include a short video of yourself.

The minimum entry qualifications for the field are:
a 2:2 or above honours degree (or its equivalent) in a related or appropriate subject. However, each application is considered on its own merits and therefore previous experience and qualifications may be taken into account.
All non-UK applicants must meet our English language requirement, which is Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.5 in Speaking and Listening and a minimum of 5.5 in Reading and Writing.
