This program provides an in-depth analysis of how criminological theories intersect with justice policies and societal regulation. Students will investigate the socioeconomic and political factors influencing criminal behavior and victimization.
The curriculum encourages critical evaluation of institutional responses to crime, encompassing law enforcement, penal systems, rehabilitation approaches, and broader social regulation methods. Participants will analyze criminalization mechanisms and critically assess effective crime reduction strategies.
Participants will enhance both qualitative and quantitative research capabilities, culminating in an independent criminological investigation focused on a specialized topic area.

Qualification Requirements
Students need to have a minimum of second-class honours degree, or equivalent, in criminology or a related subject; evidence of relevant certificated or extended non-certificated practice. Overseas students will be required to demonstrate IELTS of 6.5 overall with 7.0 in writing and at least 5.5 in all other elements. TOEFL IBT with overall score of 88 with individual skills of R=22, L=21, S=23, W=22.
