The Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) accredits this degree as fully meeting the educational requirements for Incorporated Engineer (IEng) certification and partially fulfilling the Chartered Engineer (CEng) criteria. Additional accredited Further Learning will be necessary to complete the CEng educational requirements.
Field trips with overnight stays concentrate on engineering surveying, geotechnical studies, and coastal engineering applications.
Your studies will encompass core civil engineering disciplines including structural design, fluid mechanics, soil mechanics, construction materials, applied mathematics, and land surveying. The curriculum also explores sustainable infrastructure development, with emphasis on water systems, transportation networks, road engineering, and energy sector projects.
You'll have access to specialized lab facilities for concrete testing, hydraulic systems, material analysis, soil examination, and structural experiments, complemented by hands-on learning through industry visits and fieldwork.
Hands-on training covers land measurement techniques, physical modeling, technical drafting, and CAD software. The program additionally develops expertise in managing engineering projects and business operations.
