Your studies will cover essential civil engineering topics including structural design, hydraulic systems, geotechnical principles, construction materials, mathematical applications, and land surveying. The curriculum also emphasizes creating sustainable infrastructure, with special attention to water systems, transportation networks, roadways, and energy-related projects.
You'll have access to specialized lab facilities for concrete testing, fluid mechanics, material analysis, soil examination, and structural experiments, complemented by hands-on learning through field excursions and construction site visits.
The program incorporates practical training in land measurement techniques, scale model construction, technical drafting, and digital design tools. Additionally, you'll develop competencies in managing engineering projects and understanding business operations.

A-level (or equivalent) in Mathematics at grade C or above.

BTEC level
BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering including Construction and Built Environment, including minimum Merit in Maths and Further Maths
BTEC Level 3 National Diploma with D*D* and in addition must hold an A-level in Maths with a minimum grade of C.
Access HE diploma is not accepted.
Degree apprenticeship route
Same detailed entry requirements as above. To include: five GCSEs at grade C/4 including English and Mathematics. Sponsorship from an approved employer within the industry.
Candidates are normally required to hold five GCSE subjects at grade C/4 or above, including Mathematics and English Language.
