The BA Drama program is built on a foundation of hands-on learning, blending practical, academic, and technical training within creative contexts. Our methodology reflects the varied landscape of UK theater professions. Designed for future theater professionals—whether performers, directors, creators, writers, stage technicians, teachers, scholars, workshop facilitators, or producers—this program embodies Kingston School of Art's principle of learning by doing.
For those deeply committed to theatrical arts, this immersive program offers comprehensive training. It encompasses performance creation techniques, critical analysis of productions, and stagecraft fundamentals, delivered through dynamic workshops, live performances, and theater-focused seminars.
Students will investigate significant theatrical movements alongside modern works, innovative theater collectives, influential directors, and industry professionals. The curriculum reaches its peak with an intensive final Production Project.
Customization is key to this program. Students can shape their studies by selecting from diverse modules spanning performance genres like cabaret and comedy, specialized areas such as direction and playwriting, to cutting-edge topics including digital theater innovation.
