Qualification Requirements

Financial Maths
Bachelor's degree with 1st class or 2:1 honours. Those applying for the joint degree are encouraged to contact an academic at King's to develop research links with the partner institution. Candidates may also be interviewed.
Disordered Systems
Bachelor's degree with 1st class or 2:1 honours. Those applying for the joint degree are encouraged to contact an academic at King's to develop research links with the partner institution.
Theoretical Physics
Bachelor's degree with 1st class or 2:1 honours. A good MMath, MSci or master's degree with high grades in modules that relate to the chosen research area will strengthen the application. Candidates may also be interviewed at the Department's open day or afterwards.
Pure Maths
MMath, MSci or Master's degree with Merit and high grades in modules relating to the research area. Candidates may also be interviewed.

IELTS (Academic) - 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each skill.
TOEFL iBT - 92 overall with a minimum of 23 in writing and 20 in each of the other skills.
Pearson Test of English (Academic) - 62 overall with a minimum of 59 in each communicative skill.
