The Geography Department offers diverse PhD research possibilities. Our international community includes over 100 doctoral candidates, with many receiving funding from national and global research institutions. Supported by 50 dedicated faculty members, we offer expert guidance across various specializations - from climate studies and hazard assessment to risk evaluation, computational geography, and urban development trends.
Our dynamic program features a regular seminar series with visiting scholars from global institutions, along with workshops highlighting student research. Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 1st class or 2:1 honours and/or a good master's degree. Students can demonstrate their English Language Proficiency with the following tests and grades: IELTS (Academic): 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in each skill; TOEFL iBT: 100 overall with a minimum of 25 in writing and 23 in each of the other skills.
