The swift evolution of digital platforms, social media, and mobile technologies is revolutionizing global news distribution, entertainment delivery, and communication methods. This program combines academic rigor with practical application, enhancing your grasp of the technological, societal, and economic impacts of these shifts. Through hands-on project development informed by our research expertise, you'll acquire specialized media production knowledge and leadership capabilities to steer creative ventures successfully. Our alumni frequently secure positions with leading media and entertainment firms.
Creative sectors have emerged as among the most dynamic and economically significant globally, producing approximately $2.25 trillion in revenue and accounting for 3% of worldwide GDP (Ernst & Young, 2020). Effective management in these fields demands both artistic vision and strategic business skills.

Our interdisciplinary curriculum merges media studies, cultural analysis, and business administration, offering distinctive perspectives on international media landscapes from both creative and corporate viewpoints. Taught collaboratively by Humanities and Keele Business School faculty, the program explores content creation, distribution strategies, consumer engagement, and policy frameworks across diverse creative domains including advertising, publishing, arts, and broadcast media.

The program emphasizes practical learning, enabling you to implement theoretical frameworks in tangible scenarios—whether crafting marketing campaigns for industry competitions like D&AD's New Blood Awards or executing real-world consultancy projects. Past students have developed digital recruitment initiatives for England Golf and created promotional content for cultural attractions like World of Wedgwood.

Our partnerships with regional arts institutions, including the New Vic Theatre, ensure curriculum relevance. We analyze evolving societal and corporate perspectives on media, tracking how these changes influence content formats, messaging, and delivery channels.

The skills you'll develop apply to diverse professional contexts—from brand management and intellectual property protection to talent representation and media ventures. You'll learn to navigate the creative sector's volatile economic landscape while examining successful management strategies through case studies, executive guest lectures, and leadership problem-solving frameworks.

Practical training occurs in our advanced Media Building, where you'll master industry-standard tools for digital content creation. Additionally, ArtsKeele provides opportunities to participate in cultural events and societies, helping you build professional networks within the creative community.
