Build a strong foundation in core computer science principles to delve into advanced artificial intelligence subjects. Study computational intelligence and bio-inspired algorithms while applying state-of-the-art methods to real-world challenges, equipping you for a rapidly changing industry. Whether creating lifelike game characters or uncovering medical breakthroughs through pattern recognition, artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming industries by tackling intricate problems. Our Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) BSc provides comprehensive knowledge in computer science fundamentals, professional industry insights, and specialized AI expertise - all informed by current research and market developments. The first year introduces essential object-oriented programming concepts. Our curriculum, covering interaction design to computer animation, ensures all students develop necessary coding skills regardless of prior experience while easing into academic study requirements.
Second-year studies progress to sophisticated programming techniques applicable to gaming, AI, and cybersecurity. You'll examine the human-computer relationship through user experience design, modern software development approaches (SCRUM, Agile), and pioneering AI/machine learning research. Elective modules in fields like digital forensics allow for additional skill diversification.
Your final year offers intensive study in AI research areas, investigating contemporary methods like computational intelligence and biologically-inspired algorithms. The curriculum explores artificial neural networks, evolutionary computing, and computational neuroscience approaches to natural system behaviors. You'll engage with current research while developing an original specialization-focused final project.
