Our Biochemistry BSc program equips you with essential expertise for careers in biochemistry-related fields such as pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and biotechnology.
Biochemistry serves as a cornerstone discipline within the biological sciences, focusing on life processes at molecular levels. Biochemists explore how cells and organisms develop by analyzing molecular structures and functions. This includes experimental studies of biological systems - from cellular extracts to complete organisms - and investigating specific gene functions within their cellular environments.
Our curriculum builds upon active research across multiple biochemistry specialties, including biotechnology, cancer studies, membrane processes, diagnostic methods, plant biochemistry, and protein analysis.
Throughout this program, you'll establish core knowledge in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and analytical techniques. Laboratory and research competencies grow progressively, culminating in a final-year project where you'll conduct original investigative work.
