Pursue biomedical engineering to drive healthcare innovation, tackle fundamental questions about human biology, and create global impact. You'll explore diverse fields including digital health, data science, biomaterials, clinical engineering, medical devices, and tissue engineering. Our curriculum focuses on real-world employability, preparing you to address future challenges in biomedical engineering.
While primarily taught by the School of Engineering and Medical Science, you'll also learn from experts at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. The program connects you with patients, clinicians, and medical technology professionals.
We lead pioneering research in predictive modeling, regenerative medicine, and medical robotics. Our work includes developing 3D-printed human tissue implants and organ-on-chip systems for drug testing. Researchers are also applying machine learning to predict preterm birth risks and using AI to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
