We are globally recognized for our pioneering logistics research.
Our Logistics Research Centre (LRC) enjoys an elite international standing and maintains strong connections with industry and government partners across the UK and worldwide. Recently, LRC has led initiatives examining last-mile delivery systems, freight sector benchmarking, coastal roll-on/roll-off truck services, freight volume expansion patterns, emerging European logistics trends, and grocery retail supply chains. The center has participated as a principal collaborator in multiple EU-funded programs while delivering research for government agencies, the Institute of Logistics and Transport, and various industry associations.

Students successful in obtaining a place on our PhD programme normally commence their research studies at the start of the academic year in September. However, it is possible to join the PhD programme at an agreed date during the academic year.
For IELTS: the minimum overall IELTS score is 6.5 with no score lower than 6.0 in Reading, Writing, speaking and Listening. TOEFL iBT 85 (including reading 20, listening 19, speaking 20 and writing 21).
