The MSc International Marine Science program is designed for biology graduates looking to expand their expertise in marine science. If you come from another academic discipline, this program equips you with the skills needed for careers in international marine management and planning by covering key contemporary topics. You'll develop a comprehensive understanding of core principles, interdisciplinary approaches, and cutting-edge international practices in marine science. The curriculum examines marine resources and their sustainable use, along with applying this knowledge to practical scenarios. Additionally, you'll study strategic environmental assessments, policies, legal frameworks, ethical considerations, and health and safety concerns related to marine environments. Masters (MSc) level entry applicants must have one of the following: Minimum of 2:2 honours degree or equivalent academic qualification in a related subject area. For postgraduate conversion courses, non-related degrees will be considered. Corporate (or chartered) membership of relevant professional institutions will also be considered. PG Diploma level entry applicants must have an ordinary degree in a related subject area and relevant post qualification industry experience. The minimum English language requirement for entry to this programme is IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with no score lower than 5.5.
