The MSc in Brewing and Distilling equips you with specialized expertise to pursue careers in malting, brewing, or distilling sectors, or to engage in related research. This program covers diverse topics including brewing science, chemical engineering, and optional business and management modules, preparing you for roles in production, sales, marketing, or technical services. Throughout the master's program, you'll master core principles, methodologies, and contemporary challenges within these industries while examining their global, regional, and local frameworks. The curriculum addresses regulatory, ethical, and safety considerations in alcohol production and distribution. With a flexible course structure, you can tailor your studies through electives that align with your professional aspirations. The program develops expertise across multiple disciplines including cereal technology, fermentation science, process engineering, quality assurance, and flavor chemistry. Qualification Requirements

For MSc entry, candidates must hold a First or Second Class Honours Degree, or equivalent qualification from a British or overseas university, in a science or engineering subject (for example, Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering). For Diploma entry, candidates must hold a degree, preferably at Honours level, in an appropriate subject as defined above. Candidates who do not necessarily fulfil the above criteria may wish to apply to the Diploma programme. All such cases are given individual consideration. The minimum requirement for English language is IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
