The Reservoir Geophysics team focuses on research combining reservoir engineering with time-lapse seismic data analysis. We primarily concentrate on tracking hydrocarbon reservoirs during primary, secondary, and tertiary recovery phases. Our work includes detailed 4D seismic analysis, reservoir modeling, and simulation updates. A significant aspect of our research involves utilizing datasets provided by industry partners, encompassing various reservoir types including clastic formations, carbonates (chalk and hard-rock), and high-pressure high-temperature reservoirs under different improved/enhanced oil recovery scenarios. Our strategic position within a multidisciplinary institute gives us exceptional opportunities for 4D seismic research. Current projects span the North Sea, West of Shetland, and shallow Gulf of Mexico regions. Additionally, we specialize in seismic characterization of fractured reservoirs, with experience in Norwegian, Italian, Middle Eastern, and East Texas fields. The team utilizes a 32-node supercomputing cluster, offering powerful processing capabilities for large seismic datasets.
