Interest in comparative housing and urban studies has significantly increased during the last two decades. This trend partly stems from the expanding role of supranational governance bodies like the European Union, the spread of preferred practices through organizations such as the OECD, and deeper economic integration globally. While originating in America's sub-prime mortgage sector, the Global Financial Crisis has created lasting international impacts. The pursuit of effective policy solutions, particularly during times of budget constraints, has further driven comparative research efforts.
Our research team possesses extensive experience in international comparative studies and advisory work for numerous organizations, including the European Commission, European Parliament, OECD, Council of Europe Development Bank, UN-Habitat, UNECE, as well as foreign governments such as New Zealand and Finland.
