Robotic and autonomous systems are currently employed across diverse fields including self-driving vehicles, medical applications, telesurgery, factory automation, and home support services. This interdisciplinary BEng Robotics program combines electronics, software engineering, and mechanical principles. During the initial three years, students gain foundational knowledge across these disciplines while working on integrated system development. The fourth year offers either a comprehensive curriculum or focused specialization in modern robotics topics. The program emphasizes hands-on learning through practical skill development beyond conventional coursework. From the third year, students engage in both solo and team projects, acquiring practical expertise. These initiatives tackle real-world challenges - like one project where students designed an electronic penguin egg monitoring device. Instruction includes training on professional-grade tools and facilities, with faculty encouraging students to utilize these resources for academic advancement and personal engineering innovations during their own time. Why choose Robotics Robotics and artificial intelligence represent pivotal future technologies receiving substantial commercial funding worldwide. There's increasing international demand for graduates possessing both technical expertise and industry knowledge to bridge academic research with global robotics markets. Major application sectors encompass industrial production, medical assistance devices, renewable energy operations, ecological surveillance, emergency response systems, military applications, and elderly care solutions.
