Launched in 2014 through a partnership between The Glasgow School of Art and the University of Glasgow, this program enables students to explore curatorial practice within Glasgow's dynamic global art community. Participants receive guidance to pursue independent curatorial initiatives and research, fostering the growth of sustainable professional practice - a defining feature of this unique program.
Over twelve intensive months, students collaborate with artists and various institutions while refining their approach within an international framework of theory and practice. The curriculum strikes a balance between theoretical inquiry and critical analysis, where written work and conceptual development are tested and enhanced through hands-on implementation.
Participants engage in both solo and group projects throughout the year, expanding beyond traditional exhibition formats to incorporate performance art, publications, digital media, and other innovative curatorial approaches.
