The field of computing science spans diverse areas: from coding and developing complex software solutions to creating and assessing user interfaces, algorithmic systems, computer networks, AI technologies, data retrieval methods, and large-scale data processing platforms. Established in 2017, the School of Computing Science's groundbreaking Centre for Computing Science Education demonstrates our dedication to educational excellence and forward-thinking teaching approaches. Computing Science graduates earn accreditation from the British Computer Society (BCS), The Chartered Institute for IT, fulfilling the educational criteria for Chartered IT Professional (CITP) status. For four out of the past nine years, the School has achieved top marks in student satisfaction according to the National Student Survey. Our curriculum is developed and delivered by leading experts in their respective fields. The creation of the Centre for Computing Science Education in 2017 highlights our ongoing commitment to educational leadership and innovative teaching methodologies.
