The Master of Science in Cyber Security is a practical computing program designed to provide you with specialized expertise and analytical capabilities for a thriving career in the expanding cyber security sector. The curriculum explores various domains such as: Infrastructure protection, emphasizing boundary defense (firewalls, intrusion prevention systems), secure remote connections, and system fortification; cyber operations, featuring hands-on training in our dedicated SOC (security operations center); ethical hacking/cyber defense, digital forensics, and information security governance.
After completing the program successfully, you'll possess the skills to address digital, cyber, and network security challenges, as well as create, implement, and oversee computing and network solutions for cyber security concerns. You'll also gain the capacity to assess both existing and emerging technologies within their legal, social, ethical, and business frameworks. Beyond the academic curriculum, the department hosts the student-run Ethical Hacking Society and an official student branch of Women In Cyber Security (WiCyS).
