Quantity Surveyors play a vital role in construction projects, serving as the crucial connection between designers and contractors while offering expert guidance on budgeting and contractual matters. These professionals must possess diverse expertise spanning financial, legal, management, economic, and communication disciplines throughout a project's lifecycle. The curriculum holds accreditation from both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), enabling graduates to pursue membership through designated pathways. Full-time second-year students enjoy the opportunity for a European study trip, while third-year includes a 24-week industry placement to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings. Year 3 also features an "Interact" collaborative project, where students team up with peers from Glasgow School of Art, University of Glasgow, and University of the West of Scotland to tackle design challenges and build professional networks. Program alumni have secured positions with top construction and property firms including BAM Group, Laing O'Rourke, Lend Lease, Balfour Beatty, Turner and Townsend, and Doig plus Smith.
