Forensic Investigators generate evidence admissible in legal proceedings. This program equips you with scientific crime-solving techniques through both theoretical knowledge and practical training. GCU has allocated over £1.5 million to establish cutting-edge chemistry and biology labs, where students gain hands-on experience with advanced equipment including DNA analyzers, high-powered microscopes, and mass spectrometers. The curriculum combines theoretical foundations with practical applications in chemical and biological sciences, incorporating real-world forensic case studies. Students may opt for a year abroad at partner universities in Europe or North America. Upon completion, graduates qualify for Associate Membership with the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), progressing toward chartered chemist accreditation. Career opportunities span chemical/biochemical analysis, environmental forensics, law enforcement, food safety, education, pharmaceuticals, and the energy sector.
