Mechanical engineers participate in diverse design and development projects, and this program prepares you to be a versatile professional capable of demonstrating leadership, initiative, accountability, and sound judgment in challenging scenarios. Students can choose to focus on either Systems or Design specialization. Introduced in 2021, this program merges our former BEng/MEng Mechanical Systems Engineering and BEng/MEng Computer-Aided Mechanical Engineering courses, equipping students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills for successful careers in mechanical engineering. The program is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and fulfills the educational prerequisites for Chartered Engineer status. Alumni from our previous programs have achieved rewarding careers across various sectors including aerospace, electronics, manufacturing, offshore industries, municipal services, and building services, both locally and globally.
