You will study foundational modules covering biotechnology theory, practical applications, workshops, research methodologies, and ethical considerations, along with industry visits to gain insights into academic and industrial applications. The curriculum includes seven modules, featuring a half-year research project where you'll complete a placement in a biotechnology laboratory focused on a relevant subject. This program aims to develop your analytical and problem-solving abilities through modules that challenge you to assess intricate issues and devise impactful solutions. Acknowledging the importance of teamwork and communication in biological sciences, the program also incorporates collaborative projects and presentation opportunities.
Applicants need the equivalent of a UK honours degree to at least a 2:1 in a Biosciences equivalent degree (i.e. Biology, Natural Sciences, Agriculture).
