The Department of Philosophy boasts a vibrant and extensive community of postgraduate scholars. Our faculty covers an exceptionally diverse spectrum of specializations, spanning from existential phenomenology to gender studies, and from fundamental metaphysics to economic philosophy. Additionally, we proudly house the Centre for Humanities Engaging Science and Society (CHESS). Graduate students actively participate in various academic pursuits, including discussion circles, scholarly seminars, and gatherings of Eidos, our dynamic postgraduate philosophy association. Annually, we organize numerous academic events featuring workshops, significant conferences, and lectures by renowned thinkers like Noam Chomsky, Kit Fine, and Peter Singer. The department welcomes a steady flow of visiting scholars, fostering an energetic environment for both teaching and research.
