The MA in History combines your specialized research interests with comprehensive historical scholarship to equip you for advanced academic pursuits.
Taught by leading experts, this program lets you customize your studies to align with unique research focuses. Key strengths encompass African History, East Asian History, South Asian History, Transnational History, Medieval and Early Modern History, Modern History, as well as Visual and Material Culture studies.
Your journey begins with a core research module establishing fundamental historical methodologies, theories, and practices. You'll then craft your academic path by selecting specialized optional modules connected to faculty research, culminating in a self-directed dissertation project.
Available as a one-year full-time or two-year part-time program, the course facilitates academic networking through renowned research centers including the Institute of Medieval and Early Modern Studies, the Centre for Nineteenth Century Studies, and the Centre for Visual Arts and Culture.
