You'll have access to an extensive selection of modules covering diverse legal fields within the Law School, such as International Trade and Commercial Law, European Trade and Commercial Law, Corporate Law, and International Law and Governance—with topics ranging from maritime law to digital commerce regulations.
This intensive full-time program, designed for graduates from all academic backgrounds (including non-law disciplines), combines taught modules delivered via lectures, seminar discussions, tutorials, and multimedia presentations, culminating in a substantial dissertation developed through guided independent research.
The LLM attracts participants from numerous nations and professional contexts, enhancing the educational experience through the varied perspectives and expertise they contribute. You'll have opportunities to engage with initiatives organized by the Law School's research centers, including the Institute for Commercial and Corporate Law, Durham European Law Institute, Centre for Criminal Law and Criminal Justice, Law and Global Justice at Durham, and the Human Rights Centre.
