The BA Sport, Exercise and Physical Activity program covers diverse subjects spanning from community sports to professional athletics. You'll examine how sports intersect with societal challenges like discrimination, environmental concerns, inactive living, and weight-related health issues.
Our research-active faculty has crafted core and elective modules focusing on sport sociology, policy, and development. The program allows you to choose additional courses from sport science disciplines such as physiology, psychology, nutrition, and public health. These modules strengthen your research capabilities, culminating in a final-year thesis where you can deeply explore a chosen aspect of sports or physical activity.
Career readiness is prioritized through skill-building opportunities and practical placement options. You may extend your three-year degree to four years by adding either an industry placement or international study year.
Our teaching methodology connects theoretical knowledge with real-world sports applications. This approach helps cultivate both intellectual growth and professional competencies, preparing you for various careers within and beyond the sports industry.
