If you're captivated by Greek and Roman history, this program is perfect for you. You'll explore the ancient Greek civilization and early imperial Rome, along with their relationships with surrounding cultures.
During your first year, you'll cover fundamental aspects of Greek and Roman history while also taking a module dedicated to ancient historical texts. This foundation will enable you to choose from diverse specialized modules in later years, focusing on political systems, cultural developments, and social structures of antiquity. Historical subjects will comprise at least 50% of your studies in years two and three.
The curriculum offers opportunities to begin studying Greek or Latin, with advanced modules available for those with existing language skills. You can also expand your studies by selecting courses in classical art, literature, or philosophy, or by choosing interdisciplinary options from other departments.
