This program explores the scientific and technical aspects of audio and recording systems, demonstrating their practical applications in recording, mixing, mastering, and sound design. Students will master studio technology principles, gaining in-depth knowledge of studio environments by examining their structure, including both digital and analog technologies as well as acoustic considerations.
Core coursework focuses on audio engineering basics, the acoustic properties of musical sounds, and foundational studio methods.
Participants will develop expertise applicable to careers in studio recording, audio post-production, sound system setup and management, as well as audio for film and television. Alumni have secured positions with industry leaders like Bauer Media and Spotify.
Duration: Three years full-time, four years including placement
