The AI sector is rapidly expanding and impacts numerous areas of modern life, spanning commercial activities to daily routines. This program provides comprehensive insights into AI principles and methodologies, equipping you to tackle current issues like managing household devices through microprocessor systems and identifying/solving mechanical collisions in practical applications.
You'll acquire core competencies, including mastery of the versatile C++ programming language, along with specialized knowledge of network infrastructure and computing systems. Through hands-on work with AI programming, you'll gain practical expertise in operating sophisticated mobile robots within our custom-designed lab facility.
Program Length: Three years full-time study, or four years including an industry placement
Five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Mathematics or equivalent, plus one of the following: Normally 112 UCAS points from at least two A-levels or equivalent or BTEC National Diploma/ Extended Diploma at DMM or Pass in the QAA accredited Access to HE. English and Mathematics GCSE required as a separate qualification as equivalency is not accepted within the Access qualification. We will normally require students to have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course or International Baccalaureate: 26+ points or T Levels Merit English language. If English is not your first language then an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component (or equivalent) is essential.
