This program focuses on energy generation, storage, and consumption. Build your knowledge of conventional and renewable power generation methods, contemporary energy storage technologies, and aspects of energy economics. You'll develop a solid foundation in engineering fundamentals, mechanical systems, electrical and electronic principles, while specializing in advanced topics through final-year modules like Nuclear, Renewable and Smart Energy Technologies and Data Analysis for Sustainable Energy Networks.
Students can acquire practical experience through optional industry placements. Recent partners include Cummins, Network Rail, and Caterpillar. Employability is emphasized through career-focused modules such as Design and Project Management, along with Energy Economics, Policy, and Environmental Considerations.
Duration: Three years full-time, four years with placement
