You'll examine topics like media representation, audience dynamics, and fan cultures. Select from courses covering journalism, political communication, advertising, consumer behavior, and screenwriting to develop versatile skills valued by employers worldwide. This program allows you to combine Media and Communication studies with Mandarin, the most widely spoken native language globally. At DMU, you can begin learning Mandarin at beginner, intermediate, or advanced levels. Duration: Three years full-time, four years with placement. Career Paths Our Media alumni have secured roles in journalism, public relations, media production, marketing, and editorial positions at top firms including Brunswick, JMM PR, AKQA (Audi, Warner Bros, Nike), Mentorn Media (Question Time), Independent New Media, Yours Magazine, and Universal Pictures. Many graduates have also entered teaching, social work, law enforcement, or retail management careers.
