Pursuing a Human Resource Management degree at DMU lets you examine key challenges in modern management, workplace dynamics, and employment trends. Our program emphasizes the core principles, ethical standards, specialized expertise, and professional competencies outlined by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).
You can select between two specialized tracks: the People Management Pathway or the Business Management Pathway. Your chosen direction after the first year will determine your module focus, enabling you to develop specialized understanding in your selected field.
This program opens doors to varied career opportunities, equipping you with professional skills in handling workplace relations, promoting diversity and inclusion, organizational learning, consultancy work, and key HR challenges. To boost your employability, you'll develop essential CIPD-aligned competencies such as business insight, self-awareness, research capabilities, cultural understanding, data-driven decision making, organizational transformation, and HR technology applications.
Duration: Three years full-time, four years including a placement year.
