Introduction
Establishing businesses is recognized as a powerful method to fulfill personal potential and stimulate economic growth. Initial studies demonstrate the crucial role of entrepreneurial mindset in this progression, fueling our country's economic success.
Whether aiming to start your own company or transform an established organization, this program fully engages you in innovative business concepts, preparing you for post-graduation careers. You'll enhance your creative and entrepreneurial abilities while implementing them in practical scenarios.
Led by instructors with real-world expertise, this program will sharpen your essential skills as you explore fundamental subjects spanning business and entrepreneurship. Cutting-edge courses will provide applicable knowledge and hands-on capabilities. You'll participate in a joint consulting initiative with local Leicester businesses and experience startup simulation through SimVenture software. Additionally, you can select the optional final-year Venture Creation Project module, where you'll develop a viable business proposal for a specific market and present it to evaluators including faculty, seasoned entrepreneurs, and prospective investors.
Program Length: Three years full-time, four years including a placement.
Entry criteria GCSEs Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths Plus one of the following: A levels A typical offer is 112 UCAS points. You need to study at least two subjects at A Level or equivalent (e.g. BTEC) T Levels Merit BTEC BTEC National Diploma - Distinction/Distinction/Merit BTEC Extended Diploma - Distinction/Distinction/Merit Alternative qualifications include: Pass in the QAA accredited Access to HE overall 112 UCAS tariff with at least 30 L3 credits at Merit. English and Maths GCSE required as separate qualification. Equivalency not accepted within the Access qualification. We will normally require students to have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course. International Baccalaureate: 26+ points. English language requirements. If English is not your first language an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each band (or equivalent) when you start the course is essential.
