C-DaRE organizes diverse conferences, symposiums, and research gatherings that draw participants from the UK and worldwide. Our biennial Dance and Somatic Practices conference serves as a global platform for scholars and practitioners to exchange innovative ideas through curated panels, presentations, workshops, and performance showcases. Additionally, we host the distinctive C-DaRE Invites series, where each event offers A Unique Opportunity crafted in partnership with our team and guest collaborators. These gatherings encompass presentations, lectures, dialogues, practice demonstrations, performances, and film screenings—all freely accessible unless specified otherwise. Contributors include C-DaRE affiliates, postgraduate researchers, and invited external academics, artists, and institutions. Every session centers on themes aligned with the guest's ongoing research, often scheduled around mealtimes like breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea. We view shared meals as catalysts for dialogue, relationship-building, and collaborative potential, providing refreshments for both presenters and attendees to enjoy together during the event.
