The Master of Science in Advanced Mechanical Engineering draws from Coventry University's industry and academic research expertise in fields including durability, reliability, lightweight materials, renewable energy solutions like wind and hydro power, cutting-edge simulation techniques, and innovative future concepts.
Through our strong industry partnerships, students benefit from guest lectures (subject to availability) where professionals discuss current technological developments, challenges, and industry trends, while also offering chances to participate in real-world collaborative projects. Coventry University boasts state-of-the-art facilities in our £50 million Engineering and Computing Building, featuring resources such as a Mercedes AMG Petronas wind tunnel, composites laboratory, metrology lab, vibration testing equipment, fluid dynamics lab, engine testing facilities, automotive workshop, materials testing systems (including Instron equipment), a complete Harrier Jet, multiple simulators, specialized civil engineering testing apparatus, CNC machinery, and laser workshop facilities.
