The Centre for Arts, Memory and Communities (CAMC) represents one of three research hubs within Coventry University's Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Under the leadership of Professor Patricia Phillippy, CAMC fosters a dynamic research environment that integrates three key academic themes: Critical Practices, Cultural Memory, and Arts in Well-being. Our approach combines transdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives: we maintain rigorous standards within our specialized fields while championing the transformative potential of cross-disciplinary collaboration, both for academic progress and for enhancing community engagement. CAMC provides an outstanding setting where distinguished researchers, artists, and creative professionals from diverse backgrounds actively collaborate, while supporting the development of emerging scholars and postgraduate researchers. We invite postgraduate students to join our prestigious research community, where they can investigate innovative areas of study under the mentorship of field-leading experts. Our research spans multiple disciplines including Art History, Corpus Linguistics, Cultural History, Curatorial Studies, English Literature and Creative Writing, Memory Studies, Material Culture, Artistic Practice Research, and Curatorial Practice.
