The BA (Hons) Acting program, developed in collaboration with the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough, prepares students to become dynamic professional performers. The Stephen Joseph Theatre (SJT), known as Britain's first theater-in-the-round, operates as a professional production venue and has debuted more than 80 works by celebrated playwright Sir Alan Ayckbourn.
Through this distinctive collaboration, CU Scarborough students gain hands-on experience by working alongside SJT experts during various stages of the program - benefiting from mentorship opportunities, observing professional rehearsals, and performing in a theater production under professional direction.
Graduates will acquire comprehensive skills, practical experience, and professional networks that prepare them for immediate entry into the industry.
